Synpath

Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 2026

1. Introduction

Synpath respects your privacy. This policy explains what we collect when you use the Synpath website at synpath.dev, our hosted APIs at api.synpath.dev and api2.synpath.dev, and the open-source synpath library, including the self-hosted server it runs, and how we use it. We collect as little as we can: most of what Synpath does runs on your own machine and never reaches us.

2. Information We Collect

  • API key information: the details you provide when you request a Synpath API key, and a record of the requests made with it.
  • Request data: for each request to our hosted APIs, the time, your IP address, the address requested, including any search text or market id in it, and the result. When you call cross-venue matching or historical data from the library, it sends the market ids, times and options of that call, and your API key.
  • Website data: the site has no accounts, analytics or cookies. Your docs theme and the page to return to are kept in your own browser and are not sent to us. Our website host receives the technical details of each page request, such as your IP address and browser, in order to deliver the page.

We never receive your venue credentials, orders or trading data. Your Kalshi, Polymarket, Polymarket US and Opinion keys are read from your own environment, orders go from your machine or your self-hosted server directly to the venues, and your self-hosted server keeps its data on your own disk. The library and self-hosted server send no telemetry.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To provide our hosted APIs and answer your requests
  • To authenticate API keys and apply usage limits
  • To detect and prevent abuse
  • To diagnose and fix problems
  • To keep the service secure

We do not sell your information or use it for advertising.

4. Data Sharing

We share information only with the service providers that host and run Synpath, and only as needed to operate it. We do not sell or rent your information. The venues you trade on handle your data under their own privacy policies.

5. Data Security

All traffic to our website and APIs is encrypted in transit. Access to our systems is restricted to the people who run them, and we keep what we store to the minimum the service needs.

6. Data Retention

Request logs are kept only as long as needed to operate and secure the service, then deleted. Information tied to an API key is kept while the key is active, and deleted on request once it is revoked.

7. Your Rights

You can use the website and the open-source library without giving us any personal information. You can ask us what we hold about you, or ask us to correct or delete it, by contacting us.
